Willis Earl Beal has a hell of a life story, and in these past years I hope he’s seen that it was worth it. His music is about as authentic as you can find it, a pure form that was self-taught and lived in it’s totality.
Today is a big day for him, his new record Nobody knows. is out today and it’s all together wonderful. It may be one of the most approachable albums I’ve ever heard, writing about the problems of the sometimes forgotten modern man.
